One of my favorite of the beta versions, Oren needed a touch more work than some of the others. He lost a feat, changed some skill points around, lost a spell, and some other minor issues. In general, however, he still works the same way.

Oren stalked this region for years before the current occupants showed up. It quickly became a menace to be avoided at all costs; in fact, to prevent the choker from venturing out from its established home, the newcomers would often herd food in its direction, hoping that a satiated choker would be a happy choker.
Always a special being, Oren developed sorcerous ability early in its life, and was able to adapt that to become a truly terrifying being. In combat, it makes good use of its quickness ability, throwing out a pairs of acidic rays each round as long as it can or until prey nears, sniping if at all possible. Once that happens, it’ll attack with its tentacles, going for a grapple, but only after using a Shocking Grasp spell to make the hit hurt that much harder. It has developed a taste for meat ‘cooked’ in this manner over the years, and even if it manages to drop its foes normally, will usually wait until it can shock them before eating.
